The year was 1942. the journey began in the small town of Sungai Lalang, Kedah. Mr.Ang Thong Guan, an ambitious and dedicated young man started selling tea on his beat-up bicycle with a starting capital of only RM50. Over time, his business blossomed and started growing. Over the decades, we rapidly moved up the value chain to diversify our product range from manufacturing and trading beverages to flexible packaging for industrial and commercial use.

Syarikat Thong Guan Trading Sdn Bhd (STGT) or famously known as 888 Tea & Coffee started as a family-oriented business & was established in 1942. Originally a tea business, 888 Tea & Coffee ventured into coffee making in 1960. Within years, the company gradually grew and expanded our range of beverages. Now, not only being a tea and coffee merchant, 888 Tea & Coffee also owns a range of instant, breakfast cereal, chocolate malt drink and MORE!
